Ford had their own little career fair and brought a few of these. God, they're pretty in person.

Hah, I knew that guy with the Civic when I was there. There was a little group of some guys with modded Hondas that met on Chauncey hill from time to time. I think it used to be on sawblades.

He had different, bigger rims last year, I just thought he wanted more stance. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if he broke his sawblades on all the potholes in this stupid town.

I see that Evora all the time!!! Also... Holy shit, a god damn hellcat. I should have looked harder at IR. also did you go to the speech the chief engineer of the Mustang gave over Ford/Mustang, yesterday?

Also that is me!!!

Ah okay. No problem, I'm not at all familiar with the i3 so I wouldn't have recognized it even with a high res photo, haha.

The Hellcat was only there from like 9-11 which totally sucked since I was in class all day and didn't get a chance to talk to the engineers before they left. Did hear it drive by though, it was glorious. And no, I missed that dude's speech because of an exam and it really bummed me out. Did you go to it?

I did go. The first part felt like a Ford commercial but the last half when he talked about the Mustang was pretty good. Did you at least sit in the new Mustang? I asked and they said sure!

I didn't get to even talk to the Ford people at all because I was in Hicks all day :( Planned to drop by but it turned out I had a lot more to study for than I thought. Hopefully they'll be back in the spring, I assume they had the same kind of setup they did at IR?

Well, if you're at Purdue, then you're (surprisingly) only about 1 1/2 hrs north of me. Great collection you've amassed so far. I'd be stoked to drive anything here lol - even if it is that Civic.

Thank you, always nice to find another Indy-area Opponaut! There's actually quite a few of us around here, Bandit was throwing around the idea of a meet-up in the spring for Purdue's Grand Prix week car show if you'd be interested.

Hey, I was at the IR taking resumes for coops for my company. Didn't see the Dodge, but didn't get much/any walking around time.

I also heard we donated a CRJ to the Aviation Tech school this week.

Oh cool, you work for Delta? I would've stopped by and said hi! I'm an MET major, just applied to the Big Three this time around (should have an internship at Chrysler this summer). Yeah, that was really cool of you guys to donate the jet, the dude I know in AET says everyone in AvTech is stoked to have a new toy to play with.

Cool. Good luck with the internship. Should be fun.

The RJs are cool planes in their way. Should be a little more manageable than something as big as a 727. Our Director of Maintenance and division Senior VP were there for the delivery. They are both very cool guys. The DoM drives a Shelby GT500 and the SVP has a lovely Porsche Targa. I wish I could have been there.

Kinja'd!!!0

Dude, that's how it was for my physics exam yesterday. Spent the whole night in Hicks, took the test, nothing. Why are all the harder classes useless to study for?

Kinja'd!!! YSI-what can brown do for you > SVTyler
10/10/2014 at 12:42

Kinja'd!!!0

I just got the scores back. I got a 25%, which is above average(22%) Loloololololol, apparently only 3 people got a 60 and up. The other 68 students technically failed... Oh and 66% of the class didn't score above a 30%.

Not even joking.

Kinja'd!!!

that is a 26 by the 20 to 29 range.

Kinja'd!!! SVTyler > YSI-what can brown do for you
10/10/2014 at 13:06

Kinja'd!!!0

Nibbles ate your pic. But that average is god-awful, at least ours was like a 40%, which is coincidentally what I got (yay mediocrity). Thank God for monstrous curves.

Kinja'd!!!0

Thank god indeed. The funniest thing is that the teacher is such an asshole. I asked him for help once and he said that I shouldn't need help this early in the class. Wat? Now I just go to the TA for help. I also get the sense that he thinks he won.

Kinja'd!!! SVTyler > YSI-what can brown do for you
10/10/2014 at 13:39

Kinja'd!!!0

I would've complained to the department head, what a dick. At least your class has a TA, our physics class is taught by a guest lecturer from China so I have literally no idea what he's saying. I've stopped going to lectures and just try to figure it out on my own, which isn't going well at all. Somehow teaching yourself college physics isn't as easy as it sounds.

Kinja'd!!! YSI-what can brown do for you > SVTyler
10/10/2014 at 15:11

Kinja'd!!!0

What physics are you in? The physics classes I took were terrible. The first one was bullshit the second one was just plain hard. I got through both with pretty good grades actually.

I thought about complaining, but he is an old man, I don't think anything will come of it. I have heard nothing but bad things about the man.

Kinja'd!!! SVTyler > YSI-what can brown do for you
10/10/2014 at 17:55

Kinja'd!!!0

It's Physics 2 which is electromagnetism and that kind of stuff. Our physics were like yours then, 1 is stupid and 2 is impossible. And so far neither have been particularly relevant to my major anyways so they've both been pointless. I learned more in the first week of my statics class than I did through the entire semester of Physics 1 last year.

Yup, I had to take that. Terrible class. It isn't even like they are being unfair, it is just hard as hell. If you have a Chegg account or something, it makes it a lot easier. A lot of the homework is on there if you are not sure how to do it.

Kinja'd!!! SVTyler > YSI-what can brown do for you
10/12/2014 at 04:36

Kinja'd!!!0

I've seriously been considering Chegg but I'm not sure if it's worth the $15/month or however much it is. Have you tried it, is it worth it?

Kinja'd!!! YSI-what can brown do for you > SVTyler
10/12/2014 at 13:32

Kinja'd!!!0

I tried it for a bit, and it was pretty helpful. Although, I think mine was cheaper back then. Like 6 or 7 dollars a month. I would say it is worth it if you are having a lot of trouble with it. If you don't want to give the money up, go to the TAs! They always seem to help.

Kinja'd!!! SVTyler > YSI-what can brown do for you
10/13/2014 at 01:32

Kinja'd!!!0

I'm not doing too badly, it's just frustrating how long it takes to figure things out. I was just going to hit up the Physics help room eventually. I've heard they actually know what they're doing, unlike my lab TA who just reads off the paper verbatim and doesn't know how to answer any actual questions. Makes you wonder what the actual requirements are for being a TA...

Kinja'd!!! YSI-what can brown do for you > SVTyler
10/19/2014 at 13:44

Kinja'd!!!0

I think you just had to have done well in the class. I remember I got asked to be an SI leader for a few classes. I didn't get the job because they wanted to do group acting. . . I am not comfortable acting in front of people. . . blah. Kind of annoying. Either way, all I did was get A's and B's in those classes.

Kinja'd!!! SVTyler > YSI-what can brown do for you
10/20/2014 at 18:11

Kinja'd!!!0

Hmm, that explains a lot. I've had some good TA's but a lot of bad ones, too. And I'm with you, I hate anything with the word "group" in it. Normally that means "get partnered up with a bunch of idiots and do all the work for them" or like you said interact with a bunch of people you don't particularly like.
